Consistent quality, fast shipping

I've ordered from Cottage Craft Works a few times now. This time I got a new hand crank mixer. It arrived quickly, same as my previous orders for a grain mill and a washboard. The quality is always good and exactly what I expect. It's why I keep coming back when I need reliable, non-electric kitchen tools. They're a trustworthy store.

Solid mortar and pestle

Needed a good mortar and pestle for grinding herbs, and this one caught my eye. It's solid, heavy ceramic, feels really durable. Ordered it Sunday, got it by Friday which was pretty fast to my place in upstate NY. Super easy to use, does the job well. The website was simple enough to navigate. No complaints, happy with it.

Good deal on a canning bundle

I was looking for a pressure canner and some jars. The homesteading bundle deal had everything I needed, even some bubble removers, for less than buying separately. Shipping was free too which helped a lot with the heavy stuff. Felt like a solid purchase.

Can you use more than one coupon code at a time? Like, if I have a military discount and a holiday sale code, can I stack 'em?

A Abigail Turner 2 weeks ago
Nah, pretty sure you can only use one at a time. Most places are like that.

I've tried before and it didn't work. Their system only allows for one coupon code per order. You'll probably have to pick which discount gives you the best deal.

Just curious, do they ever have sales or discount codes for like new customers or anything? Trying to decide on a big order for some homesteading gear.

P Patricia Robinson 1 week ago
You can usually get a discount if you sign up for their newsletter, it's usually like 10% or something. Worth it if you're buying a bunch.

Sales are pretty rare, honestly. Mostly around holidays like Black Friday, or sometimes specific categories. Don't expect huge markdowns, but that newsletter sign-up is probably your best bet for a quick saving.

Is it worth getting their homesteading bundles or am I better off just buying everything separately? Sometimes those bundles aren't actually a deal.

A Alex T. 3 weeks ago
I snagged a canning bundle once and it was definitely a better price than getting each piece individually. Plus, it was all stuff I needed anyway.

It really depends on what's in the bundle. Sometimes they have specific 'homesteading bundle deals' that can save you a bit, especially if you're starting out. I'd compare the prices for each item versus the bundle price. Often it's a small discount, but a discount nonetheless.

hey, was looking at a grain mill, the bigger amish ones. anyone know if shipping for something heavy like that is gonna cost an arm and a leg?

K Karen J. 1 month ago
Nah, they actually do free shipping on really heavy stuff sometimes. Check the product page, it should say.

Yeah, I got a wood stove from them and was bracing for a huge shipping fee, but it ended up being free. I think it depends on the item, but definitely a perk for the big stuff.

thinking about getting one of those non-electric fridges. how long does it usually take for those custom-made items to actually ship out?

M Mary Nguyen 1 month ago
Custom stuff can take a while, I'd expect at least a few weeks. They're not just pulling it off a shelf, you know?

S Susan Perez 1 month ago
For custom-made items, I've heard it can be anywhere from 4-8 weeks. Best to check the specific product page or even shoot them an email if you're on a tight schedule, cause it's not Amazon prime delivery.

Are their cast iron skillets any good? Like, compared to Lodge or something I can just grab at Walmart. Wanting something that'll last.

L Laura Jackson 2 weeks ago
Totally different league, man. It's more about that traditional, heavy-duty stuff. Think heirloom quality, not just another pan. My dutch oven from them is a beast.

I've got a griddle from them and it's super solid. Heats really evenly. I'd say it's more comparable to like, higher-end heritage brands, definitely not the mass-produced stuff. Worth the extra if you want it forever.

Anyone know if they're legit? The stuff looks cool but I've never heard of this store before.

J Jacob Jones 3 weeks ago
Totally legit. Been around for a while focusing on that off-grid, traditional stuff. Not a scam site if that's what you're worried about.

Yeah, they're for real. Been ordering from them for years, mostly canning supplies and some garden tools. Never had an issue. Their stuff is actually really good quality.

so, what's the deal with returns? just in case something doesn't work out.

J John Jones 4 weeks ago
Yeah returns were easy, did it last month. Just had to cover shipping back.

M Megan D. 4 weeks ago
I returned a hand tool that wasn't quite what I expected. They were pretty straightforward about it. You usually have 30 days, but make sure it's in new condition and you'll likely pay for return shipping. Not too bad though.
